Fragments of Existence

From December 23, 2025, to March 23, 2026, Fragments of Existence by BJÖRG is presented in the café space at NK — inviting visitors to slow down, enjoy a fika, and encounter art in an intimate, unforced way.

Fragments of Existence is an ongoing visual diary. The works are hand-inked drawings, often accompanied by raw poetry, created directly from the artist’s personal journals. Each piece captures a moment as it happens — reflections on identity, inner tension, politics, vulnerability, and the things we carry but rarely show.

The project was never intended for an audience. Yet over time, the need to connect outweighed the instinct to protect what was private.

All works are created in a single sitting. When emotion arrives fully, it is allowed to move freely through the body, into the pencil, and onto the paper — until it settles.

“When I get a strong feeling, I let it run through me and the pencil
until the feeling leaves me with inner peace — trapped in the inked paper.”

Presented within the relaxed atmosphere of NK Art Café, the exhibition encourages an unpretentious encounter with art. You might arrive for a coffee, pause between meetings or shopping, and find yourself unexpectedly drawn into a quiet, emotional space — where art and everyday life exist side by side.
