Rainbow – Art with Purpose During Pride Week 2025
This year, I had the honor of contributing to Pride Week 2025 through my art — as part of a heartfelt event hosted by Regnbågsfonden in collaboration with Urban Deli. The event brought together artists, performers, and allies to celebrate, reflect, and take action for LGBTQ+ rights.
A New Piece, Created for Pride
For this occasion, I created a new artwork titled Rainbow — dedicated entirely to Pride.
It features a figure crying a rainbow. A quiet but powerful image that speaks to the layered emotions Pride often holds: joy and sorrow, strength and softness, visibility and vulnerability.
Because Pride is not only a celebration. It’s a reminder of how far we’ve come — and how far we still have to go.
Turning Art into Action
I exhibited and sold art prints at the event. All profits from the sales were donated directly to Regnbågsfonden, supporting their critical work in advocating for LGBTQ+ rights in Sweden and beyond.
It was an incredible feeling — seeing people connect with the artwork, having deep conversations, and contributing together to something bigger.
A Creative Space for Pride
While I was the exhibiting visual artist, the event also featured performances and expressions from talented Swedish creatives, all coming together in the spirit of equality and solidarity.
Thank you
To Regnbågsfonden and Urban Deli — thank you for creating space for voices, stories, and colors to be seen.
A heartfelt thank you to our generous supporters and especially to @pixels.by.josie for capturing the day with such authenticity.
To everyone who stopped by, supported, and shared — thank you for helping turn art into impact.
Pride lives in our actions.
In our voices.
And in the quiet rainbow tears we’re no longer afraid to show.
